Finally…back to my true love

caning. I love making my dragoneyes and the hearts for Relay for Life but I have been missing doing my PNW and SW Indian style canes. I love the intricacy of building these canes. I love the colors used to make them. I love holding my breath while I reduce hoping they don’t distort. Heh, they haven’t yet. I guess working with a custom mix of FiKatMo is a blessing in disguise for reduction.

So in a three day span I made 4 SW petroglyphic style canes. Tonja L. asked to do a swap. She loves my canes I love her swap stuff so it was a good deal all around. I made her the 4 new canes plus am adding a couple PNW style and a couple older SW style canes to the swap. Without further ado….the canes

the four new canes All the canes

I figure folks might also want to see a couple pre-reduction slices beside the post reduction slices so here is the Hopi Sun G_d Wheel and the Kokopeli cane.

Hopi Sun G_d Wheel Kokopeli Cane

Once I make a few more canes I think I will reduce them a bit more (Yes I kept a few pieces of all of them) and place them in my Etsy store. Who knows, someone may need them for something :) Thank you for reading and looking.

Happy claying!

Great canes Kathi…I am loving the sun god I got from your etsy. Can’t wait to find some time to make beads for myself with it!
