Pictures!!

by Kathi on Thursday, May 8, 2008

I see I have some eager friends who want to see pictures. So here are a few to tide you over. These were taken as the workers were installing the floor. nothing is clean and things are so not where they belong. I promise to have more pictures when everything is put back and the floor has been all cleaned and spiffed up. Right now I am so tired I feel like I could sleep for a week and STILL be tired!

Day 1….fish tank half empty and half the great room floor done

To show how well the flooring matches our cherry furniture.

working in our bedroom.

The T molding between the flooring and tile. nice stain match on the molding

There you have it. for now, at least. Today I get to vacuum the sectional sofa and haul it back in. All the fur kids are a bit freaked that “their home” doesn’t look right. First priority is, of course, taking care of that problem and getting their sofa back in place so they can lounge on it. Then I need to un-burying Karen’s file cabinet and hutch so she can get her office back in order. What about my clay room you ask? well, that is low on the list. sucks doesn’t it? but, I really do need to get the rest of the house back to some semblance of normality (at least as much normality as we ever have here) before I can clay…or even find the clay.

I might need to sell some of my books and video’s to pay for the cabinets and counter top I want to place in the guest/clay room, but I will take that as it comes. So, for now, I wish you all a very clayful day!

I probably should take a shot of the room that will be the clay studio eh? We are really loving the flooring. we are really NOT loving the schlepping stuff back in. AND….I get to move the carpet parts again, this time to the dumpster.

Looks really good. It must be such a good feeling to be this far along. Of course, it will be even better when it is all done and you can clay.

Aren’t fur babies fun!!!

Kathi, the floors look fab! I so want wood floors..if for no other reason than cleaning up cat barfs!!! I imagine they’d move to the furniture tho! What is that piece on the wall…it looks like some kind of fabulous sculpture or something.

Thanks Bettina. It has been a long three weeks. Now I get to put my clay room together :D

Susan, the floors ARE fab for cleaning up cat barf! (had some this morning….dang fur butts) The piece on the wall is a giant lizard that holds CD’s. I found it on ebay about 8 years ago. it is fun :)

They’re beautiful! I think it was an excellent decision.

Awww, the babies will be fine. Just give them love and reassurance that all is well.

Thanks Katherine. We are ever so happy with this choice. The fur babies are chilling out as more and more of *their* stuff comes back into the house. I think the biggest hit was their sofa and afghans. Last night Karen said “I am so happy to have my sofa seat back” *g*
