The last couple of weeks I have been very busy doing yard work (while it was below 85 degrees) and then cleaning the house for a BBQ/pool party. That has severely limited my creative time, along with a custom project for a friend, but I was able to find bits and pieces of time to experiment with and idea that had been smacking me upside the head with a very large 2×4. The first couple attempts ended in the “Round tuit” file but these 7 came out sweet. Now I am finishing up a cab of mine I am beading around and then it will be back into the studio to take my meteors to a different level. My mind is buzzing with ideas for this technique. Have a wonderfully creative week!
So tonight is the gallery opening of the “Roots” show. Everyone said I needed to make a piece to wear. I was just going to wear my Star of David. Whatever was I thinking? In my world of procrastination I started the focal on Monday. Heck plenty of time to get it finished. I finished it last night and got the pictures. Just in time I would say. This piece was inspired by my love of Judaism, Julie Picarello and Jana Roberts Benzon. Those two ladies do some awesome clay work. I am pretty darn happy with how this one turned out. I guess I am ready for tonight. Thank G_d Karen and Munchie will be with me. Karen has said she will take pictures so there will be some to share tomorrow…I hope. Thanks for stopping by and looking. I hope you have a wonderful day.
I was playing around with copper tubing and different gauges of wire and finished out a focal with it. I am really happy with how it turned out. Thanks for stopping by. I am sure I will be more prolific soon.
